Katrina Kaif to do item number in Bodyguard

In Ready, it was Zarine Khan who heated up the screens with her scintillating performance in ‘Character Dheela’ along with Salman Khan. And now for his next film Bodyguard, Salman’s former flame Katrina Kaif will be heating up the scene.
An agency has learnt that Katrina won’t just be doing an ordinary cameo in Bodyguard. Instead, Kaif is all set to sizzle in a grand item number that will play during the opening credits of the film.
It is said that Salman was so impressed with success of ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’, that he requested Katrina to be a part of the opening-credits of the film. The item song in question for the opening credits will be composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Ganesh Acharya will choreograph the song.
If that wasn’t enough, there are rumours that the item number will be on the lines of James Bond’s opening credits.

Eesha Koppikhar’s Shabri to finally release on August 26

Director Lalit Marathe is a relieved and happy man as his film Shabri produced by Ram Gopal Varma which went into production five years ago will finally be releasing on August 26, after a long wait.
Shabri, a story about the first female crime lord in Mumbai, had been completed long back but couldn’t see light of the day for over four years. The first cut of the film was ready in 2006 and the film was supposed to release around the same time as Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag in 2007. After Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag flopped, Shabri got stuck.
Lalit who has also been a writer of movies like Bhoot, Swades and Sarkar started an online campaign on facebook in September 2009 to make RGV release Shabri. But all his efforts fell on deaf ears. However now, RGV has finally decided to release the film.
Shabri stars Eesha Koppikhar, debutant Raj Arjun, Zakir Hussain and Pradeep Rawat. The film is about a woman named Shabri, played by Eesha who runs a flour mill to make ends meet and how she becomes a gangster following a chain of events that changes her life. The film is shot in real locations across Mumbai and takes a peep into the matka gambling dens and the everyday lives of those living on the edge.
The film will be released by Reliance Pictures and its trailer will feature along with Singham, which releases today.

It was difficult working in ‘Not A Love Story’: Mahi Gill

Actress Mahi Gill, who is playing the lead in “Not A Love Story” based on the gruesome murder of TV executive Neeraj Grover, revealed that it was very difficult for her to work on the film.
Not a Love Story”, directed by Ram Gopal Varma is a crime thriller based on the murder of Neeraj Grover in 2008 that led to the arrest of Emile Jerome and Maria Susairaj. I have done that too because I came from the Punjabi film industry, but the later half when the murder takes place, it was quite difficult,” Mahi told reporters here.
“It was very difficult working on this film. Initially it was still okay because I had to do the role of a girl who is struggling in the industry.
“We were shooting in the same building where the case happened, so it was creepy at times to realise that how it would have been when this crime would have happened in such a small room.
We used to talk about all these things,” she said. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehi and is slated to release Aug 19.
Although it was challenging, but when this role was offered to Mahi, she jumped to it.
“I wanted to work with Ramu sir. I love his films so when I got a call from his office and he told me about the film, I didn’t ask any question and said yes. I just wanted to do it,” she revealed.

Jacqueline may not be part of Murder 3

After the success of Murder 2, actor Jacqueline Fernandez  has her eyes set on Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor as her next co-stars. “I would like to act with Aamir Khan or Ranbir Kapoor next,” said Fernandez, 26, whose look in Murder 2 has made a mark. When asked, if she had to expose in the sequel because Mallika Sherawat had done so in the original movie, she said, “I agree”.
With no godfather in the industry and still struggling to master Hindi, Fernandez said it does get tough at times to survive in Bollywood.“It is a difficult place to be in, but if you keep going and keep a level head, you will be fine,” she said. The actor said that she might not be cast for Murder 3. “For Murder as a brand, it would be nicer to see a new girl in the next movie. So, I don’t think, I would be part of Murder 3”.
