Arshad Warsi and Riteish Deshmukh are the latest entrants in Vashu Bhagnani’s F.A.L.T.U. Choreographer Remo D’Souza, who is making his directorial debut with this project, said that Bhagnani and he wanted Akshay Kumar in the film. But it did not work out and Arshad and Riteish stepped in. “When we approached Arshad and Riteish, both of them were very happy to be a part of this film. We then reworked the script to create characters that suited their personalities,” said Remo.
Both the actors joined the shoot a few days back and are presently in Mauritius where the film is being shot. Set in a university, F.A.L.T.U. revolves around a group of collegians played by Jackky Bhagnani, newcomers Puja Gupta and Angad Bedi and others.
Arshad and Riteish will be playing fake professors, who help the students. “I found F.A.L.T.U.’s script promising, and it also gave me an opportunity to try something new,” said Arshad.
“It focusses on today's education system without being preachy. This is Jackky’s second film and we are just there to support him,” added Riteish.
